A Classic Steamed Mussels
Recipe |

Rinse 1 lb. of mussels per person and pull byssus
threads. Put in a large pot with 1/4 cup white
wind per 2 lbs. of mussels. Steam until
opened, about 5-7 minutes. Dip into butter and
garlic sauce.
Variations: Herbs such as
oregano, chives, parsley or dill may be steamed with
the mussels. Any of these herbs are delightful
in butter and garlic sauce. |

Broccoli
rabe is delicious, and here is a great way to use
it. In this recipe broccoli rabe is combined with
anchovy fillets, yellow potatoes, garlic, and
mussels for a lovely Mediterranean-style stew.
